The Bulls Head

Local facilities

In the village the traditional Bull's Head Inn serves fine ales and wines and, as well as providing bar snacks has a separate and attractive restaurant. The walker's cafe, The Smithy, is renowned throughout Derbyshire and beyond for its fine breakfasts, teas and snacks. It also serves real ales during the day.

Cycling and Walking
There are many wonderful walks from the doorstep including the opportunity to explore the famous Lathkill Dale which starts just to the east of Monyash and the Limestone Way, which passes through the village. Cycling is available locally on the Tissington and High Peak trails which afford magnificent views over wide expanses of the Derbyshire Dales scenery but being disused railways, are relatively flat and can be enjoyed by the family. The Cycle Hire Centre at Parsley Hay is only approximately 1.5 miles to the west.

Attractions
The cottages are convenient for many other local attractions including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, the ancient stone circle of Arbor Low, Bakewell with its shops, river and agricultural show during the summer and Buxton with its parks and Opera House. Castleton, Dovedale and Alton Towers are also all readily accessible.
